Kendama Record + Stardance
Kendama Record + Stardance
The legendary Record Kendama returns as Record Plus. German Kendama champion Olaf Jaszczuk and many of the world's best Kendama pros are convinced that the shape that has already revolutionised the Kendama world will set new standards. With 14 years of expertise, the European Kendama pioneers have taken the game to the top in terms of balance.
The demands on modern kendamas have increased enormously - the Record Plus design exceeds all expectations: The European kendama pioneers have perfected the volume and weight distribution, ensuring that Ken Balance is always in balance. At first glance, the wide outline and the voluminous Sarado with very large discs catch the eye, providing a huge amount of control when catching as well as central stability and manoeuvrability for flip tricks.
The small disc has a wider rim than the large one - a big plus in terms of balance. This keeps the ken balanced in all situations and guarantees very good bird and stall control. The harmonious overall concept, including the new base cup hole, makes the Record Plus a high-performance kendama. Cup and stall tricks are just as easy to perform as fluid string combos and complex juggles. Thanks to the incredibly good overall balance, slingers can still be played smoothly despite the outstanding lunar balance. The line is long enough for juggles straight from the package and a high-speed ball bearing enables endless flow combos.
Conclusion:
Kendama Europe has once again utilised its many years of experience as a Kendama pioneer and shaper with the innovative Record Plus Shape and is setting new standards in the balance game.
Properties:
Kenshape:
The Plus Shape is slightly larger than conventional Kendamas and therefore provides even more control in the hand.
Saradoshape:
The shapers have surpassed themselves with the Sarado shape. The centre volume combines incredible turning ability with maximum flight stability and sets new standards in the world of Kendama.
Cups:
The cup size surpasses everything that has gone before and simplifies all types of catches - whether cup game, lunars or stalls. Once you've tried it, you'll never want to do without the large plates again.
Basecup hole:
The recess makes for a lighter base cup and shifts the overall weight even more towards the centre. This results in a perfect lunar balance.
Overallshape:
The ideal Kendama for advanced and pro players with high-performance ambitions. It fulfils all the requirements of the Kendama game at the highest skill level.
Ball:
The ball is a tick larger than on conventional Kendamas, as is the hole and its entry angle. Spiking has never been so easy!
Lacquer:
Available in three versions depending on the style of play: Natural, Grip lacquer (very good for balance tricks) and Match Clear (the latest sticky lacquer with which really anything goes). All lacquer variants have a very high durability and longevity - as you would expect from Kendama Europe.
Cord length:
Extra long line that enables all kinds of juggles, string and flow tricks.
Spinner:
High Speed Micro Bearing prevents the line from untwisting and allows you to perform endless flow trick combos.

The three types of lacquer/finish at Kendama Europe
| Finish / lacquer | Description / Properties |
|---|---|
| Nature | Wood remains (almost) untreated - no special grip varnish. Often labelled as „purely natural“ (often „Natty“). |
| Grip / Grip lacquer | A coated surface with tacky/grippy paint, developed for maximum grip when performing balance and stability tricks. |
| Sticky Match Clear | According to Kendama Europe, the „latest sticky paint“ is designed for „everything“ - in other words, it is as versatile as possible: good grip, but also enough glide for flexibility when landing. |
